I never really got why these got called ugly, I mean, tacky, yeah but they aren't ugly per se. I'm a huge christmas fan so my opinion in this matter might be tainted by jolli- and happiness, a thing most people seem to lose as soon as the big supermarkets take out the decorations, so from april to january, but those sweaters look comfy and warm as hell! Maybe slightly itchy but you could probably work around that by wearing a shirt under them.
